100 KM OF FAITH
" Sunny Romagna, sweet land" (Giovanni Pascoli an italian poetry), is land of Parish Churches, places of worship that testify the importance of Christianity since ancient times. The churches have small dimensions and are well proportioned, displaying simple and pure architectonic lines. The exterior is bare and in brick; the uniformity of the façade is interrupted only by pillars, pilasters, small arches and central portals. Inside these places you can breath spirituality, semplicity, art and christianity. With this tour, as the candle on the cake, you can appreciate loocal food homade dishes, always accompanied by good wine.

BIKE AND ROMANESQUE CHURCHES
The flatland of Ravenna, from Via Emilia till Ravenna up to the sea, is a land of Romanesque churches. Since the Byzantium domination until the conquest of the Lombards in the year 751 ,the territory yet documents the roots of early Christianity. The Romanesque churches still dot the plain and propose an itinerary of historical and artistic tour that combines the cities, the rural landscape, the products of the countryside with its gastronomy.

BIKE AND FORTESSES OF ROMAGNA
Cycling trough the past, XV and XVI centuries, discovering the secrets of the Lords of Italy, expecially the Este, Sforza, Borgia dynasties, it's our aim. We are interested in the life of Caterina Sforza, the Countess of Forlì and Imola. She was engaged to Girolamo Riario, nephew of Pope Sisto IV, at only 10 years of age. Caterina, from an early age, distinguished herself by her bold and impetuous actions taken to safeguard her possessions from possible usurpers and to defend her dominions from attacks, when they were involved in political intrigues.
The 12/01/1500 the Duke Cesare Borgia, called il Valentino, took her as prisoner. She built a lot of magnificent castles, well preserved until today, that we will visit cycling trough the Bassa Romagna land.

ON THE ROAD OF ART BY BIKE
This tour is done by bike (starting point from Punta Marina or Ravenna Railways station ). Cycling, as the population of Ravenna does , we will enjoy the 8 famous buildings protected by the Unesco Heritage and the beautiful and ancient churches of the city.

MOSAICS AND BIKE
